The first live UK performance by artist Liu Bolin at Saatchi Gallery/  Whilst the artist's iconic photographic artworks are much acclaimed and collected, this was the first time that Bolin's work was showcased as a time-based performance.  The artist painstakingly posed in front of a specially produced backdrop, while a carefully trained team gradually painted him into the background by hand and in situ.  The team of painters meticulously emulated the complex background and painted over the entirety of the artist, until he was completely camouflaged.  This mesmerising performance garnered huge press attention, including Sky Arts TV, London Live TV, The Daily Telegraph, The Times, Evening Standard amongst others.

Event | Talk with Liu Bolin & The New York Times

To accompany Liu Bolin's first UK performance in London, we presented and organised a talk for visitors in collaboration with The New York Times.  With the culture writer Farah Nayeri from NYT, the artist discussed his performance and the concept of his 'invisible man'.  The talk gave a fascinating insight into the process of creating his photographs, and the stamina and endurance needed to be painted for hours, blending into his chosen, and often poignant, backgrounds.

Shuster & Moseley Portman Square Installation View 2.JPG
Shuster + Moseley Exhibition, Marylebone

London-based artist duo Edward Shuster and Claudia Moseley reimagined the entrance of a landmark corporate building in Marylebone, turning a traditionally formal lobby into a space that incorporates light, movement and energy.  Working to a brief of refined elegance and sophistication, they created a series of glass sculptures that explore the fractal possibilities of glass and lenses.  The works play with light and perception, inviting viewers to see the space anew. Echoing the transparency and natural light of the front entrance, the sculptures create a striking focal point that elevates the lobby and creates unexpected beauty and intrigue.

Presented & curated group exhibition 'After Eden' for Herrick Gallery's programme in 2018.  The exhibition celebrated the diversity and richness of the natural world and hinted at its fate and potential decline at the hands of man.  We carefully curated a collection of artists that explore these concepts, investigating the complex relationship between man and nature and the potential consequences of the human pursuit for knowledge and power.  'After Eden' uses the fall of man after his banishment from paradise as a starting point for a broader discussion about the state of the world we live in today.  Artists included Anouska Beckwith, Orlanda Broom, Kristjana Williams and Marc Quinn.

Autistica charity exhibition | Frieze Art Fair | Deutsche Bank

In conjunction with Frieze Art Fair, leading autism research charity Autistica approached us to help curate and organise an exhibition 'An Infinitely Beautiful Mind' to raise funds for the charity.  A pro-bono endeavour, we drew on our large network of artists to select artworks that celebrated and explored an alternative way of seeing and experiencing the world.  The artists shared a collective desire to represent human experience through detailed and highly laborious artistic techniques.
Supported and endorsed by Deutsche Bank as their 'Charity of the Year' in 2016, we also organised and hosted a private event for charity patrons and special guests of Deutsche Bank.
